Press Release: Autodesk joins EuroACE – Energy Efficient Buildings
EuroACE – Energy Efficient Buildings started 2021 by welcoming its 15th Member Company, Autodesk, which strengthens its expertise on digital issues within the building sector.
The revision of the core pieces of legislation regulating the EU built environment, the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), was set to be central to the EU policy debates and EuroACE Members’ efforts that year.
Autodesk provides innovators with the tools and knowledge to make decisions that lead to sustainable outcomes. Thanks to emerging technologies like generative design, or its building information modelling (BIM) solutions, which enable engineers, architects and owners to more efficiently plan, design, construct and manage buildings, Autodesk’s knowledge on digitalisation in the building sector is extensive and very much welcomed by EuroACE.
Architecture and design have a tremendous capacity to help create sustainable, resilient, and healthy communities. At Autodesk, we are committed to supporting better integrated processes across architecture and engineering disciplines to build higher-performing buildings and cities with less negative impact on the planet. – Clémence Arto, Head of European Government Affairs and Public Policy, Autodesk
“We very much look forward to Autodesk’s active contribution to our work. We see a lot of potential in working very closely to develop our strategy on the digitalisation of construction, which is of crucial importance in this year of multiple reviews of EU legislation on energy efficiency,” said Adrian Joyce, Secretary General of EuroACE. EuroACE President Julie Kjestrup added: “2021 is a crucial year for energy efficiency in buildings, and we’re delighted to start the new year with a new member and the fresh energy and additional expertise that brings!”
