Efficient Buildings Europe is a partner of the Bring Heat Home Campaign
We’re happy to share that we are partners of the newly launched #BringHeatHome Campaign!
Leading Members of the European Parliament, including Thomas Pellerin-Carlin, Sigrid Friis, Martin Hojsik, Niels Fuglsang and Benedetta Scuderi have joined the call to action: the EU needs to decarbonise heating & cooling demands now!
The Campaign has an unambiguous message: a safe and comfortable home starts with clean, efficient heating and cooling and building renovations. The same goes for a secure, competitive and sustainable Europe.
We are looking forward to working together to fast-track the deployment of sustainable district energy systems, heat pumps, and energy efficiency solutions in European homes. It is the only way forward if we want to deliver affordable energy prices, climate action, energy security and competitiveness.
As Adrian Joyce, our Secretary General, put it: “To achieve the EU’s climate target, Europe must address the decarbonisation of its buildings. By adopting already existing energy-efficient solutions, we can lower energy consumption, phase out fossil fuels for heating and cooling, be more energy independent and ultimately create a healthier and more resilient environment. As technologies are already available and the clock is ticking, we cannot afford not to act.”
Other partners of the Bring Heat Home Campaign include: Euroheat & Power, the Cool Heating Coalition, the European Heat Pump Association, Energy Cities and the Coalition of Energy Savings.
