EPBD.wise: Bringing European building policy to life
EPBD.wise is an EU-funded project through the LIFE Programme, running from 2023 to 2026.
Efficient Buildings Europe is partner of the project, which provides on the ground support to local authorities in six European countries to design and implement the revised Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD). As the legal entity behind the Renovate Europe Campaign, we also ensure strong links with the EU and national partners of Renovate Europe and actions on the ground.
Topics such as National Building Renovation Plans, Zero Emission Building Standards, Minimum Energy Performance Standards, Building Renovation Passports and Energy Performance Certificates will be designed, evaluated and implemented in the selected countries: Bulgaria, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania and Ukraine.
EPBD.wise brings together a strong consortium of organisations, including ADENE – Agência para a Energia (Portugal), BPIE (Belgium), EMI (Hungary), e-think (Austria), Efficient Buildings Europe (Belguim), the Housing and Municipal Reform Support Centre (HMRSC) from Ukraine, the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA), TU Wien (Austria) and SERA Global (Austria).
The project also works with national partners in each focus country:
- Bulgaria: EnEffect, BACIW
- Greece: INZEB
- Hungary: EMI
- Poland: Fala Renowacji
- Romania: ROENEF
- Ukraine: Housing and Municipal Reform Support Centre (HMRSC)
