Progressive energy efficiency industry alliance announces new President
On 1 July 2017, Céline Carré (Saint-Gobain) took up the post of President of EuroACE, while legislative negotiations on the energy efficiency files accelerated and Estonia took up the Council Presidency.
“I am very happy to take this responsibility, especially at a time when the role of buildings in driving the energy transition across Europe can be strengthened. This will happen through the revision of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and the Energy Efficiency Directive,” she said. Céline Carré had been Vice-President of the association for four years.
The President is supported by two Vice-Presidents, Alix Chambris (Danfoss), who was President for 2016-2017, and Ulrich Bang (VELUX Group). “EuroACE members and the Secretariat wish to thank very warmly Ms Chambris for her work as President and innovative ideas for EuroACE activities,” said Adrian Joyce, EuroACE Secretary General.
Within the Clean Energy for All Package, EuroACE called for a solid 2050 ambition to accelerate the transformation of our buildings into highly energy efficient, comfortable and smart places to live, work or learn, with ambitious national renovation strategies and a 40% energy efficiency target for 2030.
