Edificio Ceres, Madrid

Edificio Ceres is a Passive House residential building in Madrid, completed in 2021. Its highly insulated envelope and heat recovery ventilation keep the annual heating demand at 13 kWh/m².

Building envelope and structure

Thermal envelope: exterior walls U-value 0.2 W/(m²K); basement floor / floor slab U-value 0.19 W/(m²K); roof U-value 0.23 W/(m²K).

Heating and energy

High-efficiency heat recovery system for mechanical ventilation, which ensures continuous, fully controlled air ventilation. Individual installation of aerothermal energy and underfloor heating terminal units. LED lighting in common areas and garage.

Energy performance

Annual heating demand: 13 kWh/(m²a) calculated according to PHPP.
