House on the Mountain, Austria

A solid wood residential building completed in 2014, heated by low-temperature floor heating connected to the local heating network. In 2015 its final energy consumption was 29 kWh/m².

Building envelope and structure

The façade is covered by silver fir shingles and additionally structured through horizontal window strips.

Heating through low temperature floor heating and urban network. Natural ventilation system; controlled ventilation with heat recovery.

Energy performance

Final energy consumption in 2015: 29 kWh (final energy) per m² a year.
