Sports Center and Indoor Pool, Turó de la Peira
A nearly zero-energy sports centre and indoor pool in Barcelona, completed in 2018. It won the national and international Sustainable Construction Grand Prize of the Green Solutions Awards 2020-21.

Unique laminated timber structure with thermal envelopes.
Heating and energy
Heating produced through heat pumps. Natural ventilation system. Intelligent automation system that works with temperature, humidity, CO2 and rain sensors.
Energy performance
Primary energy consumption: 45 kWh (primary energy) per m² a year. The optimisation of the thermal envelope generates a total saving of 182,011 kWh/year, approximately 27,302 €/year.
