Speeding up the delivery for renovation: investing in skills and advisory services
The Renovate Europe Campaign, with E3G and the support of its national partners, published two briefings on speeding up the delivery of renovation.
Investing in skills. A sufficiently large and skilled workforce is needed to deliver the Renovation Wave and at least double the renovation rate. The briefing calls for stronger regulatory requirements through Minimum Energy Performance Standards and National Roadmaps in the EPBD, EU funding for scalable training programmes, and strong National Plans on Skills.
Investing in advisory services and one-stop-shops. Fragmented supply chains make renovation decisions complex for property owners. Advisory and technical assistance facilities such as one-stop-shops bridge the gap between owners considering renovation and the suppliers of services and financing.
