Primary School, Giebelstadt

An extension to a primary school, completed in 2018 as an Efficiency House Plus. Heat pumps supply the heating, and the measured consumption was 49.5 kWh/m² in 2019 and 47.2 kWh/m² in 2020.

Building envelope and structure

Timber-frame design. External walls in solid masonry. Heat losses minimised through thermal envelopes.

Heating and energy

Heat supplied through two air-water heat pumps and a water-water heat pump. Heat distributed through two heating circuits.

Energy performance

Consumption values for 2019 and 2020 were 49.5 and 47.2 kWh per m² per year.
