Efficient Buildings Europe at the European Parliament in Strasbourg

During the October plenary week, Efficient Buildings Europe travelled to Strasbourg together with some of our members, Etex, Saint-Gobain and Schneider Electric, to meet Members of the European Parliament and their assistants. We discussed key priorities for the months ahead, such as Europe’s post-2030 energy efficiency framework.

Across our meetings, we highlighted the need for a clear energy efficiency target for 2040. A strong and predictable target is essential to provide the market stability and long-term trajectory needed for investment, innovation and a continuous delivery of efficient buildings across Europe.

Buildings should be recognised as a key contributor to a more secure, affordable and decarbonised energy system. The efficient buildings sector is ready to play its role, but the right policy structure is needed to ensure its effective delivery.

A big thank you to our members who joined us in Strasbourg and helped bring the voice of the efficient buildings sector to the European Parliament.
