Press Release: Schneider Electric joins EuroACE

At a pivotal moment for buildings in the EU, EuroACE – Energy Efficient Buildings was very pleased to welcome its new Member Company, Schneider Electric.

As 2021 unfolded, the proposals for revisions of the most important EU legislation affecting the energy performance of buildings, including the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD), the Energy Efficiency Directive (EED) and the Renewable Energy Directive (RED), were progressing while the whole EU buildings sector prepared for the release of the ‘Fit for 55 Package’.

Schneider Electric provides energy and automation digital solutions for efficiency and sustainability for homes, buildings, data centres, infrastructure and industries. As digitalisation is a key enabler to combine efficiency and decarbonisation within the built environment, Schneider Electric joining EuroACE further strengthens our work in the field of energy efficiency and our efforts to achieve a fully decarbonised building stock by 2050.

Schneider Electric is very happy to join EuroACE in order to contribute building a forward-looking regulatory framework across the European Union that will aim to make buildings more efficient, more decarbonised and more digital. – Bertrand Deprez, VP EU Government Affairs, Schneider Electric

Julie Kjestrup, EuroACE President, added: “In such an important year for buildings, counting on the expertise of Schneider Electric is of great added value, especially ahead of the most challenging part of 2021! We are ready to get to work!” Céline Carré, EuroACE Vice-President, concluded: “I am very happy to welcome Schneider Electric in EuroACE at a moment where all forces need to be pooled together to deploy the EU Renovation Wave and to ensure that buildings deliver their potential under the Fit for 55 Package.”
