Rémi Collombet to become Secretary General of Efficient Buildings Europe
2026 will bring new beginnings for Efficient Buildings Europe, starting with an important change within our Secretariat. After many years of dedication, passion and tireless commitment, Adrian Joyce will hand over the role of Secretary General to Rémi Collombet, currently our Head of EU Policy, from January 2026.
Adrian is not going far: he will continue as Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign, ensuring continuity and keeping his expertise at the heart of our work.
We want to express our heartfelt thanks to Adrian for his outstanding efforts to place energy efficiency at the top of the EU agenda and to bring it to every European building. His experience, deep knowledge of the sector and professional background have given our association invaluable perspective and kept our ambitions firmly grounded.
“It has been a privilege to lead Efficient Buildings Europe through many policy cycles and challenges over the last 14 years, and it is with confidence in a bright future for the Association that I congratulate Rémi on his promotion to take on the role of Secretary General. But I will not rest just yet as there is still much to do. We will reinvigorate the work of the Renovate Europe Campaign, where I will continue to lead in the years ahead!” said Adrian Joyce.
“I am humbled and excited to take the helm of Efficient Buildings Europe as Secretary General next year. I thank Adrian for his support and mentorship over the past four years; he has been a tireless advocate for efficient, healthy buildings and a bridge between industry and civil society at EU and national levels. I look forward to continuing our work together on the Renovate Europe Campaign. I also thank our members for their trust and support, and I look forward to advancing the Association’s work with our great team. Efficient Buildings Europe will continue to promote a holistic vision of efficient buildings and remain an active partner to the EU institutions”, said Rémi Collombet.
Please join us in congratulating Rémi on his new role and welcoming him as our next Secretary General.
