20th Anniversary & Business Day 2018 – Buildings 2050: efficient, decarbonised, digital
On 16 May 2018, Efficient Buildings Europe, then known as EuroACE, held its first Business Day to discuss with business colleagues and partners the topic ‘Buildings 2050: efficient, decarbonised, digital’.
The same evening, we celebrated our 20th Anniversary with around a hundred members and friends, honouring the organisation’s achievements, two new member companies, Grundfos and Daikin Europe, and the adoption of the third Buildings Directive. Earlier that year, EuroACE had won a Bronze Award for leadership at the European Association Awards and was a finalist for ‘Overall Best European Association’.
EuroACE stands to me as a clear example of a successful industry cooperation advocating for high ambition in energy efficiency in buildings. It has been a constant supporter of increased ambition and a reliable partner in bringing good research and communicating to policy-makers on the challenges and benefits of addressing energy waste in buildings. – Bendt Bendtsen, MEP and EPBD Rapporteur
“This reinforces the position of EuroACE as a unique association, since all energy efficient technologies are represented in a holistic way,” said Adrian Joyce, Secretary General, welcoming the new members.
