Renovating Europe’s buildings, opportunities for workforce upskilling in cohesion funding
Reducing energy demand is the sustainable answer to protect citizens against rising energy prices, and delivering the massive renovation programmes needed requires a much greater focus on workforce upskilling.
Co-organised by Renovate Europe, E3G and the European Federation of Building and Woodworkers (EFBWW) during the European Week of Regions and Cities, this session looked at the needs of today’s workforce for building renovation and at the funding opportunities of the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework that can help regions and cities step up to the challenge.
Speakers were Luis Galiano Bastarrica (DG REGIO), Rolf Gehring (EFBWW) and Vilislava Ivanova (E3G), moderated by Adrian Joyce, Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign.
Efficient Buildings Europe is a partner of the Renovate Europe Campaign.
