Renovate Europe Day 2025

#RenovateEurope: for a competitive, affordable Europe

Co-organised with SYNERGI, Renovate Europe Day 2025 brought the campaign to Copenhagen, with a keynote address by Dan Jørgensen, European Commissioner for Energy and Housing, alongside an exceptional line-up of speakers, industry leaders and policymakers.

It was a full day dedicated to energy renovation, exploring solutions, challenges and opportunities to accelerate the transformation of Europe’s and Denmark’s building stock. Julie Kjestrup, President of Efficient Buildings Europe, welcomed participants together with Adrian Joyce, Director of the Renovate Europe Campaign, and Morten Helveg Petersen, President of SYNERGI.

Highlights included:

• European and Danish perspectives on energy renovation and affordability
• Deep dives into affordable housing, financing, EPBD implementation and non-residential buildings
• A fireside chat with the CEOs of VELUX, ROCKWOOL and Hansgrohe Group, and a panel debate with industry leaders and MEPs on accelerating energy renovation
• Site visits to exemplary renovation projects

At the conference, the campaign launched the Copenhagen Commitment and delivered it to Commissioner Jørgensen: a pledge from more than 70 organisations across Europe’s energy efficiency, construction and renovation value chain to accelerate the delivery of the technologies, investments, products and skills that will make Europe’s buildings efficient, affordable and future-proof.

The event was supported by Grundfos, Hansgrohe, Johnson Controls, Kingspan, Knauf Insulation, ROCKWOOL, Signify and VELUX, and the media partner was REVOLVE.
