Renovate Europe Day 2021, ten years of the campaign

Next decade of action on renovation

The Renovate Europe Day 2021 high-level conference took place online, on the 10th anniversary of the Renovate Europe Campaign. It launched the Renovate Europe and E3G study Renovate2Recover, which assesses the transformational impact of 18 National Recovery and Resilience Plans on buildings, heard from the Croatian and Spanish ministries about key aspects of their plans, and discussed with MEPs what needs to happen in the next decade to boost building renovation.

A video compilation of interviews with Renovate Europe Day speakers over the years and with the campaign’s partners looked at ambitions for the next decade, and a social event in Brussels marked the anniversary with friends and colleagues.

National events. National partners held their own events: in Bulgaria, an online event under the motto “Renovate Bulgaria, save energy!”; in Ireland, the Irish Green Building Council’s Renovation Wave conference; in Greece, an online event by INZEB and GIZ on investing in building renovation through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan; and in Slovenia, an event of the Construction Cluster of Slovenia on nearly zero-energy construction and renovation.
