The discussion started with an overview from the European Commission, setting the policy context and outlining key priorities for the sector, alongside insights from Efficient Buildings Europe’s EPBD Implementation Guide. Together, these perspectives highlighted how regulatory frameworks are driving improvements in energy efficiency, system performance, and the decarbonisation of buildings.

Building on this foundation, the webinar showcased real-world applications and case studies. From the energy renovation of historic buildings, illustrated by the Archaeological Museum of Madrid, to innovative approaches for optimising heating and cooling systems, speakers demonstrated how technical solutions are evolving in practice.
