EuroACE is very pleased to announce that, on September 20th from 9:00 to 10:30 CET, together with BE REEL! and INZEB we will be holding an online event during the extended programme of this year’s EU Sustainable Energy Week entitled “Long-term Planning and Digitalisation as Key Enablers for Successful Energy Renovations“.
The session will show how future-proof planning and digitalisation can support authorities and citizens in reducing energy demand of EU buildings in the context of high energy prices, the EPBD revision and optimising living conditions by showcasing best practices and initiatives that are already in place at national, regional and building level to inspire further action.

EuroACE at EUSEW 2021
EuroACE co-organised a session entitled ‘Buildings at the heart of the EU’s new energy system’ on Tuesday 26th October 2021 at 14:00 – 15:30 CET.
This joint session highlighted the potential that buildings offer for a successful transformation of the energy system and discussed how to empower citizens to take part in the energy transition could be highly relevant considering the ongoing revisions of the Energy Efficiency and Energy Performance of Buildings Directives.
The speakers presented inspiring initiatives and best practices that are already in place at neighbourhood (Syn.ikia project), city (MAtchUP project) and community (REScoop) level highlighted ways that we can empower residents to play a role in the energy transition while at the same time responding to their needs, especially lower-income households.
Adrian Joyce, Secretary General of EuroACE, also participated at the event ‘The missing “WHY” for energy efficiency – stronger narratives to drive progress in EU Member States’ taking place on Tuesday 26 October at 16:00 – 17:30 CET.

Renovate Europe Campaign, which is an initiative of EuroACE, participated to two sessions: ‘Renovation Wave: Transformative actions towards carbon neutrality‘ and ‘Effective home renovation programs to stimulate the post COVID-19 recovery‘.

The event was the opportunity to tackle the issue of moving Energy Performance Certificates into Building Renovation Passports.

EuroACE organised, together with the VELUX Group, a session moderated by EurActiv journalist James CRISP, focusing on how building renovation could help to fulfill the EU Energy Union goals, by delivering multiple benefits to the citizens, the companies and the national governments.

EuroACE organised, together with the VELUX Group, a session moderated by Nick ANDREWS from FleishmanHillard, focusing on how to finance energy efficiency projects in buildings.
